The bigger issue is that slow movement means more time exposed to radiation and anomalies, which gets dangerous fast. Combat becomes really tricky since you can't dodge or sprint properly, and mutants will have an easier time catching up to you.

Something interesting about managing this: drop the stuff you don't need right away like extra ammo for guns you rarely use or duplicate medical supplies. Finding good stash spots near mission areas is super helpful, and keeping about a quarter of your inventory free is usually smart. If you absolutely have to move while heavy, try quick sprints between safe spots to save stamina.

Tip: radiation zones and anomaly fields are especially rough when you're weighed down, so always clear out inventory space before heading into those areas. Make sure you've got anti-rad items and anomaly neutralizers ready since you won't have time to dig through your inventory when things get messy. Getting permanent stash upgrades from technicians helps a lot with long-term storage, much better than constantly shuffling items around.
